The focus of this second Nanotribology meeting in Bali was the liquid-solid interface—an area that is central to lubrication and one that has been garnering considerable attention among surface scientists and engineers in recent years. The workshop consisedt of invited lectures and poster presentations, with extensive opportunities for discussion.

Topics for Nanobali 2
Nanotribology for macrotribology and applications
New techniques for studying nanotribiology
Surface functionalization and lubrication
Fundamentals of friction
Biotribology and water

Invited Speakers:
Prof. Ganapathy Ayappa, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore

Prof. Steve Granick, University of Illinois
Prof. Michael Grunze, University of Heidelberg
